The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy attended the CEAT SLADA Championship Awards 2017 as the Chief Guest. The event was held at the Golden Rose Banquet Hall in Boralasgamuwa on the 1st of December 2017.

The event was organized by the Sri Lanka Auto-sports Drivers Association which is better known as SLADA. The 2017 motor racing season reached its pinnacle on Friday, 1st of December 2017 with the CEAT SLADA Championship Awards, at which the stars of the country’s racing tracks were honoured for their Hi-Octane exploits. Director Administration of the SLAF Air Vice Marshal CP Welikala, Air Vice Marshal MWTI De Silva and Senior Officers of the SLAF participated in the event.
