Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force Arrives in Sri Lanka

Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa, the Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force arrived in Sri Lanka today (10 December 2017). He was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Kamalpreet. The Air Chief Marshal and his wife along with their entourage were received at the Bandaranaike International Airport by the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Vice Marshal Sumangala Dias and Mrs Prabavi Dias.
During their stay, the delegation will visit Sri Lanka Army and Navy Headquarters, the IPKF War memorial at Battaramulla, Air Force Academy China Bay and SLAF Base Katunayake.
The delegation is also scheduled to meet with HE the President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe, State Minister of Defence Hon. Ruwan Wijewardene, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Mr. Kapila Waidyaratne and the Commanders of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces during the visit.
