Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy declared open the newly constructed “Serenity Cottage” Officers’ Holiday Home and “Squirrels Leap” Other Ranks’ Holiday Home today (21 December 2017) at SLAF Station Mirigama. These two holiday home projects were designed and constructed by the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering.

Both Holiday homes consist of three fully furnished luxury air-conditioned rooms with attached bathrooms with hot water facility, non-air conditioned lobby area with satellite television and common pantry area with modern cooking equipment.

Commanding Officer SLAF Station Mirigama Wing Commander Lasantha Dahanayake, Officers and Other Ranks were also present at the ceremony.
