With the Christmas spirit in the air, personnel of SLAF Base Katunayake, performed a cleaning program of the surrounding of Welcome Village Elderly Home at Badalgama on 21 December 2017.

This Home has been neglected due to the ceasing of funds received from foreign well-wishers. It accommodates around 180 elderly people living at this premises with 10-12 assistants, who take care of them.

The occupants of the Home were treated to lunch and the event was also attended by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Air Vice Marshal Prasanna Payoe, the Commanding Officer of SLAF Hospital at Katunayake Group Captain Abeysekara, Officers and other ranks of SLAF Base Katunayake.
