SLAF Going strong in 4th Asia Club Cup Hockey Tournament.

The 4th Asia Club Cup Hockey tournament was worked off on the 6th of
June at the Astro Turf Matale. Top Clubs from Sri Lanka, Pakistan and
Malaysia met on the turf to battle it out for the
Cup.
Sri Lanka was represented by two powerful teams; The Sri Lanka Air Force Hockey team and the Matale Hockey Club team. SLAF was invited to field its team consisting eight National players, as it had immerged as the top ranked Club in the Island.
In the first match the SLAF beat the Matale 3-2. In the second game the SLAF squared off against Malaysia on the 7thof June. Malaysia won this game 6-2 whilst the Malaysia – Pakistan game ended in a draw on the 7th. The next match will take place between SLAF and Pakistan today at 4.00pm at the Nandimithra Ekanayaka Hockey grounds in Matale.
