SLAF Station Piduruthalagala celebrated its 08th anniversary on 05th January 2018 under the guidance of the Commanding Officer Wing Commander MC Peiris. Commencing the Station day, the Commanding Officer addressed all Officers and Other Ranks of the Station during the anniversary parade. A cricket match was conducted following the parade at the Station play ground with the participation of all personnel.

To mark the occasion, all personnel of the Station carried out a cleaning programme along the access road to Piduruthalagala Mountain on 04th January 2018. In line with the formation day, a blood donation campaign was conducted in collaboration with National Blood Bank Nuwara Eliya and Bogahakumbura United Charity Organization on 06th January 2018.
