Airfield Defence and Ground Combat Course for Bangladesh Air Force Personnel

Ten (10) Bangladeshi Air Force personnel who arrived in the island to follow the Airfield and Ground Combat Course offered by the Sri Lanka Air Force commenced their training activities at SLAF Combat Training School (CTS) Diyatalawa on 22 February 2018.

The Course participants comprise two Squadron Leaders, two Flight Lieutenants, three Junior Non Commissioned Officers and three Leading Aircraftmen. The course is designed for a period of two months and is due to terminate on 29 March 2018.

Marksmanship Training, Model Briefing, Stalking, Light/Heavy Weapon Training/Firing, Grenade Throwing, Road Blocks, Ground Appreciations, Preparing Ground Defence Plans, Mechanism of Defence and Defence of Air Bases, Individual Combat Skills Tests are included in the course content.

The Course participants were welcomed by the Commanding Officer of SLAF CTS Diyatalawa Air Commodore WWPD Fernando on their arrival to Diyatalawa.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
