Commander Declared Open Rubberized Coir Mattress and Waste Paper Recycling Facility at SLAF Base Katunayake

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy declared open the newly established Rubberized Coir Mattress manufacturing facility and Waste Paper Recycling Facility at SLAF Base Katunayake earlier today (25 January 2018).
These projects were developed and established under the guidance of the Commander by the Command Research & Development Officer Air Commodore JP Balasooriya and the Commanding Officer of the Research & Development Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake Group Captain SWCP Bodhiseela.
These manufacturing facilities have been established with the intention of manufacturing Rubberized Coir Mattresses and paper products in order to meet SLAF requirements.
The Deputy Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal AM De Zoysa, member of the Air Force Board of Management, Senior Officers, Officers and other ranks of SLAF Base Katunayake were present to witness the event.
