The inaugural Sports Awards Ceremony of SLAF Station Colombo was held on 19 February 2018 at the Rifle Green grounds Colombo. The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony has been planned to encourage and facilitate sportsmen and sportswomen who have brought glory to SLAF  Station Colombo in inter unit sports championships in year 2017.

The Board of Management of the SLAF, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardana ,Officers and others ranks witnessed the first ever sports awards ceremony at Station Colombo.
