The second day of the 19th Guwan Hamuda Papedi Sawariya ended in front of the SLAF Base Hingurakgoda today covering a distance of 172.6 km. Sri Lanka Navy cyclist Janaka Hemantha won the 2nd leg  of Guwan Hamuda Papedi Sawariya while Lakshman Wijerathne of Sri Lanka Army and Buddika Warnakulasooriya of Sri Lanka Air Force finished in second and third respectively.

The third (final) leg of the race will begin tomorrow (04 March 2018) at 0830hrs from Hingurakgoda. The third leg will cover a distance of 149.9Km and will finish in Ampara tomorrow.

The Women's' race will also start tomorrow (04 March 2018) from Batticaloa and finish in Ampara covering a distance of 65.2 km.
