In commemoration of International Women’s Day, a Special Programme was held on 07 March 2018 at Defence Services College Auditorium, under the distinguished patronage of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Anoma Jayampathy.

The programme was steered by Mrs. Ama Dissanayaka, popularly known as “Arumasi Gehaniya” under the topic of “Geethaya Thulin Eya Dakimu”. Mrs. Ama Dissanayaka was able to enrich the participants with her own experiences and delivered valuable tips on being a dutiful woman, wife, mother and servicewoman.

In addition to this Programme, a drama was staged adding a touch of humour by Mrs. Madani Malwattage.

T-shirts, Caps, Cosmetics Items and NSB Gift Vouchers were also provided to all participants as an entrance gift.

Ladies of the Air Force Board of Management, Lady Officers, Airwomen and wives of service personnel also gathered to experience this event.
