No.02 Air Defence Radar Squadron at SLAF Base Vavuniya celebrated its 12th Anniversary on 10 March 2018, under the guidance of the Commanding Officer Wing Commander ECA Jayasundara.

Concurrently, a Bodhi Pooja was arranged at Sri Bodhirukkaramaya, Vavuniya to invoke blessings on the past and present members of the Squadron as well as to the SLAF and the nation. Apart from the staff of No.02 ADRS, Base Commander Group Captain LH Sumanaweera also participated for this event. In addition, a religious programme was held at the Pillaiyar Kovil within the Base.

In line with the formation day, a Medical, a Dental and a Shramadana Campaigns were conducted at the Sri Gunananda Kanishta Vidyalaya, Vavuniya.

A Cricket match was organized with the participation of all personal of the Squadron.
