'China Bay and Morawewa' 1959-1999 Book Launched at AFHQ
The Book entitled "China Bay and Morawewa" written by Wing Commander Ranjith Ratnapala (Retd) was launched today (12 March 2018).
The Book Launching Ceremony was held under the patronage of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy at Air Force Headquarters Auditorium with the participation of many retired and serving senior officers and distinguished invitees. The first copy of the book was handed over to the Commander of the Air Force by Wing Commander Ranjith Ratnapala.
This unique documentation on the history China Bay and Morawewa will take a reader along the path were a Royal Naval establishment developed in to the premier training establishment of the Air Force and how the establishment of the iconic Morawewa Air Force Detachment came in to being.
