First Passing Out Ceremony of the Firefighter Advanced Course
The Fire School & Fire Tender Maintenance Squadron at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake held its first Passing Out Ceremony of “Fire Fighter Advanced Course (01/2017)” on 21 March 2018 under the patronage of the Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake Air Vice Marshal MDAP Payoe.
The primary objective of conducting this course is to impart theoretical and practical knowledge, while enhancing professionalism of the “Fire Fighter” Tradesmen of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The ceremony consisted of a parade and a display of Fire Hose Drill, Fire Pump Drill, Ladder Drill and a demonstration of Crash Firefighting.
