Awarding of Flying Brevet and Flight Engineering Brevets

One Pilot and seven (07) Flight Engineers received their Brevets from the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy today (28 March 2018) at Air Force Headquarters.

Pilot Officer RT Lokuliyana received his Flying Brevet after successfully completing Basic Flying Training on the Cessna 150 aircraft at SLAF Academy China Bay and Advanced Flying Training on the Y-12 aircraft at No 08 Squadron SLAF Base Rathmalana.

The following Officers and Airmen received their Flight Engineer Brevets on successful completion of their Flight Engineer Training in AN -32, C 130 and MI-17 Aircraft at SLAF Base Katunayake, SLAF Base Ratmalana and SLAF Base Anuradhapura respectively.
