10th Defence Services Games Declared Open by Chief of Defence Staff

The 10th Defence Services Games (DSG) was ceremonially declared open by the Chief of Defence Staff Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne on 03rd April 2018 at the Army Indoor stadium at the Panagoda Army Cantonment.
The sportsmen and women of the Army, Navy and Air Force will compete for supremacy in thirty nine (39) sporting disciplines from March 2018 to August 2018. This year the 10th DSG is hosted by the Sri Lanka Army.
Commander of the Sri Lanka Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy, Rear Admiral NBJ Rosayro, Senior Officers and other ranks of the tri forces were also present at the occasion.
The opening ceremony included a band display, dance performance by tri - services bands and a march past of the sportsman and women of the respective sporting disciplines representing the three services.
