All Night Pirith At SLAF Mamaduwa

Sri Lanka Air Force Detachment Mamaduwa was established on 28 Aug 09 to
cater to demands metal and quarry product requirements of the Uthuru
Wasanthaya program and also lesser demands of SLAF infrastructural
development. The operation is independently managed by SLAF personnel
under the guidance of Group Captain HA Perusinghe whilst SLAF Mamaduwa
is commanded by Squadron Leader PSW Molligoda.
An all night pirith chanting was carried out at the premises on the night of the 26th of June whilst an alms-giving was conducted on 27th June. Also a sapling of the sacred “Sri Maha Bodhiya” was planted at newly constructed place of worship on 28 Jun 10.
Brigadier DAR Ranawaka RSP.IG (Brigade Commander 561 Brigade/ Lieutenant Colonel FHA Weerasinha (Civil Affairs Officer 561 Brigade)/ Wing Commander MJ Bandara (Officer Commanding Technical Services,SLAF Base Vavuniya / Wing Commander SC Wijenayaka (CO 111 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron) attended the event.
