The Boxing Championship-2018 of the 10th Defence Services Games organized by the Sri Lanka Air Force was conducted from 09 May 2018 to 10 May 2018 at Indoor Stadium of SLAF Base Katunayake. More than 46 competitors representing Tri Services took part in this Championship. During the event the Sri Lanka Army won the Men’s Championship while Sri Lanka Navy was able to secure the Runners up position. The Sri Lanka Air Force Boxers (Men & Women)were able to secure 08 Gold, 06 Silver, 05 Bronze including Joint Champions of the Women’s category. Leading Aircraftman Udaya Kumara IPDC and Leading Aircraftwoman Thivankaa WWAK of Sri Lanka Air Force were nominated as the Best Looser of the tournament

The Base Commander Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake and Chairman of SLAF Athletics, Air Vice Marshal MDAP Payoe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the awarding ceremony. Senior Officers and other ranks from tri forces were present witness the event.
