With the goal of facilitating several requests made by servicemen and retired service personnel the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy and Chairperson of SLAF SVU, Mrs. Anoma Jayampathy awarded scholarships for children’s educational requirements aiming to ease their financial burdens to some extent.

The donation ceremony was held today (11 May 2018) at the Seva Vanitha Unit, AFHQ Colombo under the patronage of the Chairperson SLAF SVU.
   
Each child was awarded scholarships of following amounts until completion of the GCE A/L examination.

Son of F/Sgt Gunawardena SA Rs. 2000.00 Per Month
Son of Mr W Hemachandra (Civil)    Rs. 1500.00 ( Rs. 1000.00 from Lions Club Matara and Rs. 500.00 from Seva Vanitha Fund) Per Month
