The 11th Anniversary of SLAF Station Mirigama was celebrated today (01 June 2018). To celebrate this event, a “Shramadana Programme” was arranged on 30 May 2018 to clean the surrounding area and to renovate the access road from Vedahandiya Junction to the Station premises for the benefit of people living around the camp area.
The customary Working Parade was held today and was reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander LP Dahanayake. In-line with the celebration, a special tree planting ceremony was carried out with the co-operation of the “Green Spine Reforestation Programme”, the District Secretariat of Gampaha” and the Divisional Secretariat of Divlapitiya at the Station. The activities concluded with a cricket tournament and an all ranks lunch.
