No 6 Squadron at SLAF Base Anuradhapura carried out an under slung operation at Mihinthale to airlift ‘Siripathula’ today (10 June 2018).
 
The mission was originated by the Lakehouse along with the “Lakehouse Aloka Pooja” programme.
 
The Siripathula was picked at Rajarata University grounds and air lifted to ‘Meda Maluwa’ at Mihintale Temple by a Mi 171 Sh helicopter flying crew led by Squadron Leader ISB Thibbotumunuwe and Co-Pilot Squadron Leader JAR Jayawickrama.  Warrant Officer Karunarathne operated as the Flight Engineer.
