The newly reconstructed playground and boundary wall at Kanagapuram Maha Vidyalam was declared open by the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena on 18 June 2018.

The project was carried out under the guidance of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy and successfully completed by SLAF Station Iranamadu.
