Performing ultrasound scanning is an important procedure to diagnosing the leaking (Critical) stage of dengue fever or dengue hemorrhagic fever and further to determine or predict the severity of the disease.

The hospital conducted an Ultrasound Scanning Workshop for doctors in order to enhance the knowledge and to identify leaking dengue patients without any delays.

The work shop was conducted by Dr. (Mrs) Eranga Perara (MD) Consultant Radiologist at Lanka (Pvt) Hospital and Dr. Mahesh Harishchandra (FRCP) Consultant Physician at SLAF Hospital Colombo.#
