Pakistan Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Calls on the Commander

Pakistan Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, NI (M) called on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy today (28th June 2018) at Air Force Headquarters, Colombo.
The Pakistan Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee was received upon arrival by the the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardana and was conferred a Guard of Honour by the Colour Wing of the SLAF commanded by Flight Lieutenant LN Mayuranga.
The visiting Pakistan Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee discussed matters of mutual interest with the SLAF Commander. General Hayat, also met with the Chief of Staff of the SLAF, Air Vice Marshal Sumangala Dias and the Air Force Board of Management after which official plaques were exchanged to mark the occasion.
Adding uniqueness to today’s event, the visiting General symbolically handed over Six (06) Stallions to the Commander of the Air Force. These Stallions arrived in the island on 26 June 2018 by an SLAF C-130 aircraft which flew them in from Islamabad, Pakistan.
