This Officers’ Living/In Accommodation Block was designed and constructed by the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering. This marked the fulfillment of a long felt requirement. The newly constructed three storied building consists of 23 fully furnished rooms with attached bathrooms equipped with hot water which would provide accommodation for Officers.

This New Wing of the Officers’ Stable Hill Cabana was constructed under the guidance of the Commanding Officer of the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa and funded by the Service Institute Fund of Combat Training School.  The construction was carried out by the Works Section of the School.

The newly constructed Stable Hill Cabanas consist of four separate rooms, each room fully furnished with a luxury bed, Dialog TV and an attached bathroom equipped with hot water.

Members of the Air force Board of Management, the Commanding Officer of the SLAF Combat Training School, Air Commodore WWPD Fernando, Officers and Other Ranks were present for the opening ceremonies.
