The NCO Management School of Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay held its No.3 English Medium and No.74 Sinhala Medium Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Courses Award Ceremony on the 6th of July 2018 under the patronage of Air Vice Marshal MD Ratnayake, Director Aeronautical Engineering of the SLAF.

The primary objective of conducting this course is to impart a sound academic and managerial knowledge base, while sharpening leadership qualities within the Non Commissioned Officers of the Tri-Forces. The course ran through a well-formed Syllabus, over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. Both courses are affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfilled the required criteria were awarded with a certificate in Management. The No.03 English Medium and No. 74 Sinhala Medium Batches comprised 38 Senior Non Commissioned Officers and 49 Junior Non Commissioned Officers of the SLAF, 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the SL Army and 02 Senior Non Commissioned Officers of the SL Navy. At the Ceremony 88 awardees received certificates to mark the successful completion of the courses.

Corporal Madurdwe PB (Accounts Assistant Special I) was adjudged as the Best All-Rounder of the No.03 English Medium Course, while Sergeant Kumara MWSJ (Administrative Assistant Special I) and Corporal Jayawardana KASS (Accounts Assistant Special I) were adjudged as the Best All- Round Senior and Junior Non Commissioned Officers respectively in the No.74 Sinhala Medium Course.
