SLAF Men’s and Women’s Beach Volleyball teams emerged as Champions of the Defence Services Beach Volleyball Championship 2018.

Defence Services Beach Volleyball Championship 2018 was held on 11 and 12 Jul 2018 at Beach Volleyball Courts at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayaka. During the finals SLAF Women’s Team defeated SL Navy (2-1) while the SLAF Men’s Team defeated SL Army (2-0). It is noteworthy to mention that this is the fifth consecutive Defence Services Beach Volleyball title for the SLAF Men’s Team.

Air Vice Marshal MDPA Payoe, the Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayaka graced the ceremony as Chief Guest. Chairman of SLAF Volleyball, Air Commodore RN Thilakasinghe, Senior Officers from SL Army and Navy were also present for the finals.
