Commander Attends RAF Centenary Celebrations and CAS’s Air Power Conference

The Royal Air Force completed 100 Years of service on the 1st of April 2018. The RAF celebrated its 100 years of operation 100 days after the actual 100th birthday on the 10th of July 2018. The celebrations were made up of a series of spectacular events in London. Over 1000 RAF servicemen and women participated for a ceremonial parade. There was also a flypast of 103 aircraft over Buckingham Palace.
The Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy also attended for the RAF Centenary Celebrations in London on 10th July 2018. Subsequently the Commander also attended the Royal International Air Tattoo and the Chief of Air Staff’s Air Power Conference from 11th to 12th July 2018. The theme for this year’s conference was “building the next generation Air Force”.
