SLAF Station Morawewa celebrated its 45th anniversary on 29 July 2018. Marking its formation day, a Shramadhana campaign was organized at the Primary Medical Care Unit (PMCU) Morawewa on 26 July 2018 and Sinhala Central College at Trincomalee South on 28 July 2018.
 
A Kidney Testing Programme for all officers and other ranks at the Station was organized with the contribution of MOH of Gomarankadawala, Dr. Paul Roshan and his staff on 23 July 2018 at the station premises.

A friendly cricket match was organized on 29 July 2018 with the participation of Commanding Officer of the station Group Captain CRD Goonawardena, all the officers and other rank personnel to foster and promote unity among all.
