Pinning of Poppy on Commander to Commemorate Fallen War Heroes

President  of the Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen’s Association Brigadier K.A. Gnanaweera pinned  a poppy to commemorate fallen war heroes, on Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, at the Air Force Headquarters today (09 August 2018). The commemoration will also raise funds for the welfare of war heroes’ families.

The Association’s General Secretary Lt. Col. Ajith Siyambalapitiya,  Vice President  Maj. Gen. Mahinda Ambanpola and other official from the Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen’s Association were also present at the occasion.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
