Sri Lanka Air Force Women’s Basketball Team  emerged Champions  beating Sri Lanka Army by 43-30 at the  Defence  Services Basketball Championship 2018. The Final was held on 14 August 2018 at Outdoor Basketball Court Sri Lanka Navy Base Gemunu, Welisara .

Rear Admiral Piyal de Silva, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy, graced the ceremony as Chief Guest. Chairman of Sri Lanka Air Force Basketball, Air Vice Marshal PDKT Jayasinghe, Director Sports, Air Commodore IK Weeraratne, Senior Officers of the Sri Lanka Army and Sri Lanka Navy were also present for the finals.
