Commander’s Inspection of SLAF Base Anuradhapura

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal
Kapila Jayampathy conducted the Commander’s Inspection at Sri Lanka Air
Force Base Anuradhapura today (07th Sep 2018).
Prior to the inspection proper, the Commander reviewed the Commander’s Inspection Parade commanded by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Air Commodore HN Abeysinghe. The following service personnel were awarded commendations during the parade.

During the course of the inspection the Commander visited all areas of the Base including Base Headquarters, No 06 Squadron, No 33 Land Based Air Defence Wing, General Engineering Wing and the No 21 Regiment Wing. The Commander declared open the newly renovated Main Guard Room and newly constructed Gymnasium.
The Commander also joined the customary all ranks lunch at the Airmens’ Mess with a cross section of Officers, Airmen, Airwomen and Civilian staff.
Concluding the Commander’s Inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks including the civilian personnel at the No 06 Squadron Hangar. During his address he encouraged all to strive for excellence and also expressed his appreciation for all the hard work done by all members of the Base towards maintaining and uplifting the standards of the Base to the highest level.
