The SLAF Angampora Team clinched the first ever Sri Lanka’s Got Talent Title yesterday (30 September 2018) at the Grand Finale held at Stein Studios, Rathmalana. The SLAF Angampora Team led by Ajantha Mahantharachchi was able to secure the golden buzzer from Mr. TM Dilshan during the preliminary rounds which sent them directly to the live stage of the competition.

During the Finals there were six participants out of which the SLAF Angampora Team emerged victors of the first ever Sri Lanka’s Got Talent competition.

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Anoma Jayampathy, the Chairman of SLAF Angampora, Air Commodore CB Labrooy and a large number of SLAF Officers and other ranks were present to cheer on the Angampora Team to victory.

The original “Got Talent” reality TV franchise created by the world famous producer Simon Cowell was brought to Sri Lanka by Sirasa TV. The ‘Got Talent’ format is recognized as the most successful reality TV show by Guinness World Records and is being aired in more than 65 territories worldwide. This global experience opens new avenues in the international space for Sri Lankan native talents.
