The Sri Lanka Air Force Organizes Mega Health Camp at the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Kandy

With the blessings of Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy and under the guidance of Director Health Services, Air Vice Marshal (Dr.) LR Jayaweera, Command Dental Officer, Air Commodore (Dr.) WKM Weerasekera, Dental Staff and SLAF Hospital Colombo organized a ‘Mega Health Camp’ at the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy for the second consecutive year yesterday (11 October 2018) in collaboration with the Kandy General Hospital with the participation of 7 Consultants, 16 Doctors and 147 medical staff. The health camp was successfully completed with the participation of 156 Buddhist monks and 406 Civilians.
The Mega Health camp was conducted under the supervision of Commanding Officer of SLAF Hospital Colombo, Gp Capt (Dr.) PAV Padmaperuma and Senior Staff Officer of Dental Services, Gp Capt (Dr.) P Dissanayake. The camp provided for the medical needs of all participating Buddhist monks as well as civilians with free consultation and checkups with our specialists and general practitioners, free medicines, laboratory investigations, eye examinations, free spectacle lenses, ECGs, dental services and many more services.
