No 6 ADRS at China Bay Celebrates its 9th Anniversary
No 06 Air Defence Radar Squadron at SLAF Academy China bay celebrated its 9th anniversary yesterday (15 October 2018). The Squadron was established in the eastern region of the country to strengthen the National Air Defence System in year 2009.
As directed by the Commanding Offficer, Squadron Leader DLJRK Dodamgoda, the anniversary celebrations started with a Shramadana campaign to build sanitary facilities for the use of Samudrasanna Wivekaramaya Temple China Bay, distribution of refreshments for 60 pregnant mothers at the “Gramhodaya Health Centre”, Wellamanal and donated a cupboard with books for the Morawewa North School Library.
Further, a friendly cricket match was held yesterday at the Squadron premises.
