Airman Wijeratna and Air Woman Peduruarachchi created three national records at the selection test for Weight lifters for the Commonwealth Games.

The selection test was held at the Weight Lifting Training Center yesterday (22nd July 2010).

Peduruarachchi (48 kg) established two records by lifting 57 Kg’s in ‘Snatch’ category and a total 119 Kg’s whilst Wijeratna RPMS (105 kg) lifted total of 134 Kg’s in snatch category.

Incidentally both betterd their own records.
