No. 2 Leisure and Recreation Wing (No. 2 L & R Wing) at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Ratmalana also known as the Eagles’ Lakeside Banquet and Convention Hall, Attidiya, proudly celebrated its 5th Formation Day under the auspices of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain SR Udakumbura yesterday (12 November 2018).

Coinciding with the Formation Day celebrations, a Shramadana Campaign was organized on the 9th  and 10th of November 2018 at ‘Yasorapura Orphanage’, Ratmalana and donation of dry rations was made to the Orphanage to be used for the children on the 11th of November 2018.

‘Maha Piritha’ Pirith Chanting Ceremony was held on 11th of November 2018 at Banquet hall premises with the participation of all staff members of the No. 2 L & R Wing, Officers and Other Ranks of the SLAF Base Ratmalana.
Further, a motivational lecture was organized and conducted by Professional Trainer in the Hospitality Industry, Mr. Amal Nanayakkara for the staff of the Wing to enhance their knowledge on “Positive Attitude” towards the customer services related to the hospitality industry on the 12th of November 2018.

The formation day celebrations concluded with a tree planting campaign and a social gathering among all staff of the No. 2 L & R Wing.
