Commander's Inspection at SLAF Station Colombo

Having concluded the inspection at Air Force Headquarters on the 14th of November 2018 the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy conducted the Commander’s Inspection of SLAF Station Colombo yesterday (15th November 2018).

The Commander was welcomed by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardana.  A Street Lining was accorded to the Commander at the Station premises.

Commander visited all areas of the Station. After concluding the inspection the Commander took a seat at the Airmens’ Mess with a cross section of Officers, Airmen, Airwomen and Civilian Staff for the customary all ranks lunch. This was followed by the Commanders’ address at which he appreciated the commendable work done by all personnel at AFHQ and Station Colombo in maintaining high standards.

The Commander then departed to the OMQ Complex Kollupitiya, Air Force Health Management Centre and AFHQ Officers’ Mess Colombo.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
