The Annual SLAF Islamic Religious Ceremony 2010

The Annual SLAF Islamic religious ceremony was held the Kollupitiya Jummah Mosque during the early hours of 27th July 2010.

The officiating Mowlavi blessed and prayed to all mighty Allah on behalf of the souls of all brave men and woman of the Sri Lanka Air force, who made the supreme sacrifice, in defence of our motherland and those who died whilst on active service and those families left behind by those fallen colleagues.

Further, blessing of the leaders of the country, the three service commanders, all ranks presently serving in the Air Force and all establishments and the assets of the Air Force too was carried out during this ceremony.

The service was attended by the Director Dental Service Air Vice Marshal Bandara Amunugama, Director Administration Air Vice Marshal Rohitha Ranasinghe, Air Vice Marshal Tilak Dissanayaka, Air Vice Marshal Gagan Bulathsinhala, Air Commodore Sumangala Dias, Group Caption Channa  premarathna other Officers and a cross section of other ranks representing all Bases and stations as well as various trades of the Air Force. Minister Alavi Maulana and Minister AHM Azwer were also present.
