The Annual All-Night Pirith Chanting Ceremony to commemorate personnel of the SLAF who made the supreme sacrifice or are missing in action and to invoke blessing on their souls, was held on 21 November 2018 night followed by an arms giving for Venerable Maha Sanga  on 22nd November 2018 at SLAF Base Katunayake.

Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Vice Marshal MDAP Payoe, Formation Commanders, Officers, Other Ranks, along with their family members and Civilian Staff of SLAF Base Katunayake participated for the ceremony and the alms giving.
