Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke, conducted the Annual Commander’s Inspection of SLAF, Base Ratmalana today (30th July 2010). A parade commanded by Base Commander, SLAF Base Ratmalana, Air Commodore Sumangala Dias welcomed the Commander to the Base premises.

This Base is also home for all fixed wing transport air craft available in the SLAF inventory. The Air Force museum, the Electronics  & Telecommunication wing, Aeronautical Support Wing, 28 Regiment Wing and Base Hospital are the other lodger formation based at SLAF Base Ratmalana.
