Air Chief Marshal, Roshan Goonetilake, conducted the Annual Commander’s Inspection of SLAF, Base Ratmalana today (14 August 2009). A parade commanded by Base Commander, SLAF, Base Ratmalana, Group Captain Sumangala Dias welcomed the Commander to the Base premises.

This Base is also home for all fixed wing transport air craft available in the SLAF inventory. The Air Force museum which is scheduled be opened shortly, the Electronics  & Telecommunication wing and Base Hospital are the other lodger formation based at SLAF Base Ratmalana.
