The Badge Awarding Ceremony of EOD Training School at SLAF Station Palavi for No 36 Officers, No 51 Airmen, No 11 Airwomen, No 27 Naval Personnel and No 1 Foreign Students Basic EOD Courses was held on 19 December 2018 at the parade square of SLAF Station Palavi. The Director Ground Operations, Air Vice Marshal KFR Fernando graced this occasion as the Chief Guest.

The courses comprised of 2 SLAF Officers, 3 Naval Officers, 2 Indian Air Force Officers, a Pakistan Air Force Senior Non Commission Officer, 30 Airmen, an Airwoman and 04 Sailors. At the ceremony 43 awardees received their certificates and badges to mark the successful completion of the courses.

Flight Lieutenant HMBGDS Herath was adjudged as the Best All-Rounder from the Officers while Leading Aircraftman Suraweera EPLM was adjudged as the Best All-Rounder from the Airmen. Special award winners are as follows.
