SLAF Station Palaly Celebrates 38th Anniversary

The 38th anniversary of SLAF Station Palaly was celebrated yesterday (1 Jan 2019). Along with the formation day a Shramadana Campaign was conducted at Kuddiyappulam Tamil School with the participation of service personnel of SLAF Station Palaly. The first working parade of the year was reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain SD Jayaweera.

Following the Working Parade, the Commanding Officer, all Officers and other ranks participated in multi religious ceremonies. All officers and other ranks witnessed the address by the Commander of the Air Force at the Station aircraft hangar. Following which all Officers and Other Rankers participated in the All Ranks Breakfast at the Airmens’ Mess.

The day’s proceedings were concluded with a cricket match which was organized at the Station Sports ground with the participation of all service and civil personnel.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
