"Storm Water Harvesting" Project declared open by the Commander at SLAF Academy China Bay.

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy declared open the newly constructed “Storm Water Harvesting” Project at the No. 1 Leisure and Recreation Wing at SLAF Academy China Bay yesterday (19 January 2019).
This project was funded by Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka and constructed by Beijing Tidelion Rainwater Harvesting Technology Co Ltd. The main objective of establishing this project is irrigating the fairways during the dry season by using Monsoon rainwater. Specially designed 100 Cubic Meter capacity water tank was placed underground to store extra rainwater.
The Commanding Officer of the No. 1 Leisure and Recreation Wing Commander HAD Dias, Director of Overseas of Beijing Tidelion Rainwater Harvesting Technology Co Ltd Mr. Zongliang Lu and Ms. Chathuri Jayaweera, Officers and other ranks were present for the opening of the project.
