No 3 Air Defence Radar Squadron (ADRS) at SLAF Station Weerawila celebrated its 12th anniversary yesterday (1 February 2019) under the guidance of the Acting Commanding Officer, Squadron Leader PGVCP Nandasena. In view of the anniversary No 3 ADRS carried out a Shramadana Campaign and an alms giving program at “Sith Sewana Mentally Handicapped Children’s Home” at Thanamalvila on 30 Jan 19. A tree planting program was carried out on 31 Jan 19 inside the camp area and the Station Commanding Officer, Group Captain DRAB Warakanga graced both the occasions making both the events colorful.

The anniversary celebration began with a Cricket Tournament at Station’s Sports Ground with the participation of All Officers, key appointment holders and all personnel in the No 3 ADRS. The day was winded up with a lunch at the same location for all participants.
