Annual Pirith Chanting and Almsgiving Ceremony at SLAF Station Palavi

The Annual Pirith Chanting and Almsgiving Ceremony at SLAF Station Palavi was conducted under the guidance of Commanding Officer, Group Captain Nishantha Priyadarshana on 26th and 27th of March 2019.

This is one of the parallel events conducted to commemorate the 68th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force, to mark the 7th Anniversary of the EOD School after Relocation at SLAF Station Palavi and to invoke blessings to the Fallen War Heroes of the SLAF.

Religious activities of the ceremony were conducted by the Chief Incumbent Ven. Nawagamuwe Medananda of the Thambapanni Temple, Kalladi with the presence of 30 Buddhist Monks from various temples in the Puttalam District.

All the service personnel and civil staff of the Station participated for the event.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
