Awards Ceremony Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Courses

The NCO Management School of the SLAF Academy China Bay held the No. 6 English Medium and No.77 Sinhala Medium Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Courses Awarding Ceremony on the 29th of March 2019 under the patronage of the Director Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Air Vice Marshal KAL Ranathunga as the Chief Guest.
The primary objective of conducting this course is to transfer sound academic and managerial knowledge to and sharpening leadership qualities within the Non Commissioned Officers of the Tri-Forces. The course ran through a well-formed syllabus over a scheduled period of 11 weeks. Both courses were affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfilled the required criteria were awarded with a Certificate in Management.
The No. 6 English Medium and No. 77 Sinhala Medium Batches comprised of 39 Senior Non Commissioned Officers and 43 Junior Non Commissioned Officers from the SLAF, a Senior Non Commissioned Officers from the SL Army and a Senior Non Commissioned Officers from the SL Navy. At the Ceremony 84 awardees received certificates to mark the successful completion of the courses.
Sergeant Wijeweera TM (Accounts Assistant) was selected as the Best All-Rounder of the No. 6 English Medium Course, while Flight Sergeant Prasanga MWN (Computer Technician) and Corporal Chamilani THN (Female Nurse) were placed as the Best All- Round Senior and Junior Non Commissioned Officers respectively in the No.77 Sinhala Medium Course. Other special award winners are as follows.
