Chief of Integrated Defence Staff Committee (CISC) of India visits Air Force Headquarters

The Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC) of India, Lieutenant General Podali Shankar Rajeshwar visited Air Force Headquarter on 8 April 2019. The Lieutenant General is a member of the delegation headed by the Defence Secretary of India, Mr. Sanjay Mitra, currently on a two-day official visit to participate in the 6th round of India-Sri Lanka Annual Defence Dialogue.
Lieutenant General Rajeshwar was received by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardana at the AFHQ Lobby. Thereafter, the Lieutenant General was conducted to the office of the Chief of Staff.
The visiting Lieutenant General was warmly welcomed to AFHQ by the Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sumagala Dias after which they discussed matters of mutual interest. Official plaques were exchanged between the visiting Lieutenant General and the Chief of Staff to mark the occasion as well.
