Pakistan National Defence University Delegation Visits Air Force Headquarters

A delegation from the National Defense University (NDU) of Pakistan visited Air Force Headquarters today (17 April 2019). The delegation was led by Air Commodore Mustafa Anwar of the Pakistan Air Force along with 16 Armed Forces Officers from Pakistan, Iran, Nepal and Bangladesh who are currently on their Study Tour of Sri Lanka.

The head of the delegation called on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy where matters of mutual interest were discussed and symbolic mementos were exchanged to mark the event.

Group Captain Thushara Weerarathne, Staff Officer Air Operations 1 of the Directorate of Air Operations conducted a presentation on the history, organization, evolution of air power and the future outlook of the SLAF. Members of Air Force Board of Management and Senior Officers were present for the presentation.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
